the Stage Combat Studio follows the precepts and teachings of the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD). Our Instructors are working professionals and are certified by the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) and/or The Academy of Theatrical Combat (ATC).
In addition to creating exciting and safe fights for stage and film, the Stage Combat Studio offers extensive training for performers who want to add proficiency with weapons and unarmed combat to their skill set or who want to hone their existing skills.
The Smorgasbord of Stage Combat: Ages 18+
Always wanted to try Stage Combat, need to fall for your current role, need to punch someone?
The Smorgasbord of Stage Combat starts on Sunday October 16th, 2011 and runs for nine weeks. The Smorgasbord is being offered in three weapon styles with each weapon being presented in three - 2 hour classes.
You may register for just one weapon (3 classes), any combination of two weapons (6 classes) or all three weapons (9 classes).
Section One: Basic Rapier/Single Sword (10/16, 10/23, 10/30)
Section Two: Unarmed Basics (11/6, 11/13, 11/20)
Section Three: Quarter Staff (11/27 & 12/4, 12/11)
Type of Program: One time offering.
Limited to: 12 Students per section (4 minimum)
