the Stage Combat Studio
L. Stacy Eddy, Founder of Bay State Fencers established the Stage Combat Studio in 2004 to teach safe and well performed stage violence to actors, directors and movement specialists and to provide a permanent place to expand and hone these skills.
the Stage Combat Studio follows the precepts and teachings of the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD). Our Instructors are working professionals and are certified by the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) and/or The Academy of Theatrical Combat (ATC). In addition to creating exciting and safe fights for stage and film, the Stage Combat Studio offers extensive training for performers who want to add proficiency with weapons and unarmed combat to their skill set or who want to hone their existing skills.
