Stage Combat: Additional Programs

The Stage Combat Studio is pleased to offer a variety of additional services including private instruction and fight choreography. These services are offered based exclusively on Instructor availability. All Stage Combat Studio instructors are working professionals and are certified by the Society of American Fight Directors (SAFD) and/or The Academy of Theatrical Combat (ATC).

SAFD Skills Proficiency Class & Test

The Stage Combat Studio offers the SAFD Skills Proficiency Class & Test each year, usually in the spring. Please check our Current Offering page to see when this class is being offered. This intensive class provides students with the opportunity to train for an extended period of time while perfecting a particular weapon style and skills. Students are offered the opportunity to test in any or all of the weapon styles in front of a SAFD Fight Master. SAFD Skills Proficiency Test Requirements
Single Weapon (30 hours of training)
Three Weapons (90 hours of training)

Recertification class (minimum 6 hours)
