Stage Combat: Policies
General
Policies
- All participants
must wear long loose fitting pants or sweat pants.
- NO JEANS
and NO SHORTS.
- All participants
must wear sneakers or fencing shoes.
- NO STREET
SHOES
are ever permitted on the fencing floor.
- All participants
are encouraged to wear tee shirts or sweat shirts.
- No food or drinks
other than water or sports drinks are permitted on the fencing
floor.
Stage Combat Program
Policies
- PRE-REGISTRATION for Stage Combat Programs is highly
recommended. Space is limited to insure a positive training experience.
- The Stage Combat Studio reserves
the right to make the final determination of a student's skill
level and to determine if the participant has the requisite skills
to participate in any particular Stage Combat Program.
- To participate in a Skills
Proficiency Test Class the participant needs to have completed
a prior Stage Combat Studio Program, or provide proof of prior
training from any SAFD workshop or similar training organization (i.e.,
Academy of Theatrical Combat, Dueling Arts International, British Academy of
Stage and Screen Combat, Fight Directors Canada, Nordic Stage Fight Society
or others).
- Space in Stage Combat Programs
will only be held with a 25% deposit.
- Balance of payment is due on
the first day of the Stage Combat Program.
- NO REFUNDS of deposits or payment in full and NO
TRANSFERS will be given for no-shows, illness, and prior obligation,
missed classes, being cast in a show or for any other cancellation
made less than fourteen (14) days in advance of the start of
any stage combat program.
- Registration is considered a
Final Sale on the first day of any Stage Combat program.
- Scheduled or unscheduled absences
from Stage Combat programs may not be made up. Full and active
participation in any Stage Combat program is essential to the
success of the class not only for you but also for your partner
and the instructor.
- If Bay State Fencers cancels
a Stage Combat program for any reason, you will have the option
of transferring to another program or receiving a full refund
of program fees.
- At Bay State Fencers Stage Combat
programs are for students age 18 and older. Children under 14,
when accompanied by an adult and guests may observe at any time.
- No one under the age of 6 is
permitted on the fencing floor at any time.
