Beginner to Advanced Foil & Epee for Youth and Juniors
Dates: TBA
Fencing: A Sport for Everyone
Fencing is a fascinating, time-honored sport that teaches sportsmanship and self-discipline. It fosters a healthy attitude towards individual as well as team competition and stimulates the mind by providing immediate rewards for using sound judgement. Fencing teaches everyone to enjoy winning and to profit from defeat, with the benefit of physical excercise.
The goal of our Summer Intensive Fencing Programs is to provide week long, high quality, fencing training programs during the summer months. We will provide all of the instruction and fencing equipment each student will need to make these programs safe and exciting. We have designed these programs to appeal to youth of varying capabilities and interests.
Emphasis is on teaching a good understanding of fencing: footwork positions, attack and defensive actions, and learning about the use of electric fencing equipment. The Bay State Fencers Summer Programs are a great way to get involved with one of New England's premier Junior Fencing Clubs.
The Bay State Fencers Summer Fencing Programs are limited to 14 mixed-age group fencers per session to ensure a positive experience for each participant. Sessions fill on a first come, first served basis.
