Junior Fencing: Strategy & Endurance

Fencing develops good sportsmanship and self-discipline and is a wonderful sport for all ages and all athletic abilities. Fencing teaches athletes to enjoy winning and profit from defeat, while becoming physically fit and healthy. Junior fencers train to outwit their opponents using strategy technique, and physical endurance which teaches them to make complex decisions, to analyze problems, and to think fast. These ideals help young people reach their potential in many areas other than fencing. Junior fencers learn to compete independently as well as for a team.

Bay State Fencers is pleased to offer a series of age appropriate classes for Juniors 11 to 14 years old. Our program begins with Junior Fencing Basics, an eight-week comprehensive introduction to the sport. Our program continues with a series of ongoing classes in foil and epee. Followed by our competitive programs where fencing skills are honed.

For fencers interested in competition we also offer a series of competitive programs.
