Pre-Season Training Clinic: Youth/Junior Competitive Epee Fencers - Ages 10 to 16

2008 Clinics August 11- 15 & August 18 - 22, 2008

This summer we are offering two Pre-Season Competitive Epee Training Clinics, we have expanded into a five-day format. These intensives will help fencers prepare for the upcoming fencing season. Technique and tactical experience are expanded and conditioning is paramount. Any competitive Epee fencer is encouraged to attend these clinics.

• Pre-Season Epee Clinic:
  - Ages 10 to 16
  - Five-day clinic
  - 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
  - 9:30 am drop-off begins
  - Pick-up at 1:00 pm - $5 per minute late pickup charge begins after 1:45 pm

• Prerequisite: Previous Competitive Fencing experience
  .
• What to wear: Sweatpants, sneakers and a loose t-shirt & bring your own equipment
  .
• What to bring:
  - Bag Lunch and Snacks
  - Water Bottle and/or Sports Drink (NO soda please)
  .
• Cost: Register for both weeks and receive a discount, please enquire:  
  - $275 for the five days for Non-members of Bay State Fencers plus Annual $50 USFA Membership
  - $200 for the five days for current Bay State Fencers members
  - Fencers should have their own equipment and uniforms, please enquire regarding any equipment needs.

• What will I receive?
  - Daily individual lesson with one of our coaches
  - Daily small group instruction in footwork, conditioning and blade work
  - Tournament at the conclusion of training on Friday
  .
• What is the daily schedule?
  9:45 am - 10:00 am     Arrival and drop off
  10:00 am - 10:45 am   Warm ups and physical training
  10:45 am -11:00 am    Break
  11:00 am -11:30 am    Drills, footwork and blade work
  11:30 am - 12:00 pm   Lunch Break
  12:00 pm - 1:00 pm     Bouting and individual lessons
  1:00 pm - 1:30 pm       Pick-up

Refund Policy
There will be no refunds for missed camp time due to illness, transportation problems or other personal reasons.

Cancellation Policy
Bay State Fencers reserves the right to cancel any clinic for which there is insufficient registration or for any reason, up to two weeks prior to the start of the clinic. Every attempt will be made to place a registrant of a canceled clinic in another clinic of his or her choice. If this is not possible, a full refund will be provided.
